Kangaroo Smash Burgers

What you'll need

Burgers

4 × K-ROO burger patties
4 rashers streaky bacon
4 slices high-melt cheese
2 brioche buns

Bottom Bun Sauce

Mayonnaise
Chopped pickles (optional)
Chopped dill (optional)

Fillings

1 onion, thinly sliced
Lettuce of choice
Pineapple slices
Tomato, sliced
Pickles

Top Bun Sauce

Mustard
BBQ sauce

How to cook it

  1. Prepare the onion
    Heat a pan over low heat and sauté the sliced onion for 10 minutes until soft and lightly caramelised.
  2. Cook the patties and bacon
    Cook K-ROO patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. In the last minute, top each patty with the caramelised onion, cheese to melt and bacon.
  3. Prepare the buns
    Lightly toast the brioche buns
  4. Make the burger sauce
    Mix together mayonnaise, chopped pickles and dill.
    Spread the top bun with mustard and BBQ sauce.
  5. Assemble the burgers
    Spread the mayo on the bottom bun
    Layer lettuce, tomato on the base.
    Add the 2 x patties stacked with the onion, cheese & bacon
    Finish with mustard, BBQ sauce, pickles and the top bun.
  6. Serve with your favourite fries or potato tots.
